The “Guitar Evening” programme will feature flamenco, Latin American music, jazz standards, original compositions and classical music, performed on one, two, three or four guitars. Tickets cost PLN 10. They can be purchased in advance at the BOK-MCC Tourist and Cultural Information Point, 1c M.J. Piłsudskiego Square, or at the “Orzeł” CIK, 17 Chopin Street, two hours before the concert.

Performing before the audience will be Sławomir Markowski – musician, guitarist and composer; for many years a member of the Wrocław-based Ritmo Flamenco band, formerly specialising in Spanish music (flamenco), he plays acoustic, classical, electric and bass guitar, combining various styles and playing techniques in original musical forms. His compositions show influences of folk, jazz, classical and film music; Mirosław Kuc – composer and guitarist, former member of Funk Factory, he has collaborated with many musicians from the Polish music scene and taken part in jazz festivals in Poland, including Jazz Jamboree, Jazz nad Odrą and Jazz Tour. Since 2011, he has been an instructor at BOK-MCC, teaching guitar. He prefers a style combining funky, blues, flamenco, jazz and Latin American music. He values improvisation and interesting harmony in music and makes excellent use of tone colour; Sławomir Zimniak – an IT specialist by profession and a teacher at I LO in Bolesławiec, but a guitarist by passion. He studied classical guitar and prefers Spanish guitar music (flamenco) and Latin American music; Wojtek Andrzejewski – a first-year student at Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 in Bolesławiec. He has been learning to play guitar under Mirosław Kuc’s guidance for three years. At the Blues nad Bobrem festival in 2015, he received the award for the best workshop participant.
