These are events that have already become a permanent fixture in the county calendar. “Our loyal participants do not need much encouragement to join our adventure with running and two wheels, but we want an even larger ‘sporting family’,” say county officials.
They add: “Running and cycling are wonderful forms of activity, and this campaign has already successfully encouraged many people to take them up. Those who practise them say it is a kind of magic. It does not make you wait long for the results. After just a few days of leaving the comfortable sofa, your fitness improves, you are no longer out of breath on the stairs, your skin becomes firmer and your cheeks turn pink. These seem to be quite a few undeniable arguments for ensuring that our next May RUNdka is a success. This year we are joining forces and ‘may the Force be with us’ on Saturday, 21 May.
Two RUNdkas will set off that day—one running and one cycling. The County has also provided a version for young cyclists with their parents, who will ride along an easy route. A picnic will await participants at the finish (additional motivation and a well-deserved reward for the effort).
There will also be plenty happening in front of the rotunda. Spinning, fitness, martial arts and rugby enthusiasts have declared their participation.
Registrations for the running and cycling RUNdkas are being accepted until 18 May 2016:
- by telephone: 75 735 18 64
- by email: pceikk@op.pl.
“We encourage not only individuals to run, but also company employees, who can run as a team along the route. Such an adventure certainly brings people together,” the organisers say.
