Anyone can help him fulfill this wish. All it takes is attending the Family Country Picnic! The event organizer, Stajenka Team, together with the exceptionally large group of companies, individuals and institutions supporting Adam, warmly invite you to the Family Country Picnic for Adam.
The charity event will take place this coming Sunday, April 10, at 12:00 p.m., at the Koźlice Stud Farm. Each of the many picnic attractions will be available in exchange for a “donation to the can,” and the money collected during the picnic will go toward Adam’s dream active wheelchair and rehabilitation.
The event program includes: horseback rides for children and adults, games and competitions with prizes, air-rifle shooting, an adventure with an excavator, wrestling demonstrations (2:00 p.m.), first-aid demonstrations (2:30 p.m.), a hussar sabre fencing demonstration and a natural horsemanship demonstration by riders from the U Jasinka stable (3:00 p.m.), a fire service demonstration (3:30 p.m.), a meeting with Turow basketball players (4:00 p.m.), an auction of donations from sponsors (5:00 p.m.), as well as plenty of great food and drinks, delicious cakes and a truly family-friendly atmosphere! Adam Szulc has been disabled for 13 years, ever since he suffered a serious head injury in a bicycle accident. As he himself admits, he was quite lucky. He survived, woke from a coma after eight days and regained his speech, which he had lost for several weeks. Unfortunately, he did not regain full mobility and to this day has difficulty moving independently and maintaining his balance.
He has not given up, however. He finished school, began studying computer science and is looking for work. He is fighting for himself and his independence, which is why he is raising money for what is known as an active wheelchair. It is adapted to the user's physical measurements and consequently enables more efficient movement than a standard wheelchair. It is an expensive dream, so Stajenka Team and many supporters want to help him achieve it.
The event is held under the patronage of: the Mayor of Zgorzelec, Gmina Zgorzelec, Stajenka Koźlice, Departament Druku, ZSZiL im. Górników i Energetyków Turowa, and the Sports and Recreation Center in Zgorzelec.
