Next week, Cezary Przybylski is expected to resign as marshal—we learned unofficially. This is to take place at the next meeting of the Regional Assembly. Grzegorz Schetyna has reportedly demanded his removal. Cezary Przybylski will probably end up at one of the companies involved in environmental protection. The current marshal’s successor is expected to be Wałbrzych deputy mayor Zygmunt Nowaczyk.
In a conversation with “Gazeta Wyborcza,” Przybylski meanwhile announced the formation of a new caucus in the Regional Assembly, to which current Civic Platform councillors have been invited, although talks on its establishment are being held without the participation of the party leadership. The coalition is to be formed with Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy and PSL.
Cezary Przybylski comes from Raciborowice near Bolesławiec. He was a teacher and the Bolesławiec county head (from 2006 to 2014). He has been marshal for two years, since 13 February 2014.
