Two vehicles (a Ford and a Fiat) were waiting at the traffic lights. At one point, a Hyundai with German registration plates approached and hit the back of the Ford, which in turn hit the back of the Fiat.
According to the police’s preliminary findings, the 42-year-old German man, the Hyundai driver and the person responsible for the accident, failed to keep a safe distance. The Ford was driven by a 26-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality, while the Fiat was driven by a 45-year-old man from Osiecznica Municipality. All the drivers were sober.
Two teenage girls were taken to hospital with spinal injuries: a 17-year-old resident of Lubin (a passenger in the Fiat) and a 15-year-old resident of Złotoryja County (a passenger in the Ford).
