Officers from the Criminal Division of the First Police Station in Jelenia Góra received information that a 21-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra might possess and sell drugs. When they appeared at the door of his apartment, the man did not want to let them in. It turned out that while the officers were knocking on the door, the 21-year-old tried to escape by jumping out of a ground-floor window. However, he was unlucky, as another police officer was waiting for him there.
The suspect's mother let the officers into the house. In one of the rooms, police found two bags of marijuana—nearly 500 saleable portions.
Police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail, checking the source of the seized drugs and whether the man was involved in their distribution.
The man has been placed under police supervision, banned from leaving the country and ordered to pay bail of PLN 2,000. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
