The volleyball competition for girls from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship ended with tournaments in Świdnica and Wrocław. The girls from TOP Bolesławiec finished third in the voivodeship. In the Świdnica tournament, our players lost 0:2 to the hosts and 0:2 to Gwardia Wrocław. In the second final tournament, held in Wrocław, the players from Bolesławiec got their revenge against the team from Świdnica, defeating them 2:1. Unfortunately, in the match against Gwardia Wrocław, they had to acknowledge their opponents’ superiority, losing 0:2.
The Bolesławiec volleyball players lacked confidence, experience and familiarity with competitive play. This was particularly evident in the first match against Polonia Świdnica, in which they lost a set 27–29. However, considering that our players were from the younger age group and that by participating in the Lower Silesian Girls’ Volleyball League they were supposed to gain experience, winning third place at this level is a considerable success. The girls’ coach, Tomasz Medyński, is pleased with the players’ attitude and the progress made by the entire team. He believes that winning third place will further motivate the girls to train in volleyball.
The TOP team was represented during the 2006/2007 season by: Paulina Kopeć, Judyta Szłapa, Kasia Segiet, Sylwia Duru, Dorota Medyńska, Dorota Burdyna, Sandra Wilk, Kasia Jasińska, Zosia Lenkiewicz, Edyta Szewczuk, Estella Ilczyna and Ola Rychlicka.
