Thanks to the initiative and idea of Stanisław Dzierniejko, a distributor of films on DVD, the premiere of Wiesław Saniewski’s film "Bezmiar sprawiedliwości" was held at Orzeł Cinema on Saturday. One of the leading roles is played by Bolesławiec resident Robert Olech.
Robert Olech welcomed his family and warmly greeted the residents of his hometown. Asked about the character of a young law student he portrays in the film, he replied that although he leaves the final assessment of his role to the viewers, he tried to be a mirror for the characters portrayed by his colleagues. He also emphasized the opportunity to act alongside outstanding Polish actors and shared his impressions of working with the film’s consultant, lawyer Andrzej Malicki, co-creator of the screenplay, originator of the idea and participant in the real trial that inspired the story in the film.
The project of distributing Polish films both through traditional film prints and on DVD makes it possible to organize premieres in small towns as well. It gives moviegoers a chance who previously either had to travel to larger cities or watched a film several months after its premiere, because small cinemas always lost to multiplexes in the competition for priority access to prints. Stanisław Dzierniejko, the originator of cinema screenings on DVD, announced the next premiere, this time of Piotr Matwiejczyk’s film "Wstyd". Piotr Matwiejczyk has already visited Bolesławiec for a screenwriting workshop organized by Grażyna Ferensowicz as part of a film education project promoted and supported by Boleslawiec.org.
The film "Bezmiar sprawiedliwości" can be watched at Orzeł Cinema until March 18.
