Officers from the Police Station in Rudna stopped a passenger car for inspection. It was being driven by a 26-year-old resident of Rudna Municipality. While checking the vehicle’s trunk, the officers noticed a subwoofer that was not connected to the radio. They decided to take a closer look.
The police officers’ suspicions proved correct. After removing the speaker, they discovered that it concealed tobacco without Polish excise stamps. What is more, during further procedures, the officers seized more than 90 retail portions of marijuana.
It was estimated that if the illegal tobacco had reached the market, the State Treasury could have lost approximately PLN 4,000. The 26-year-old faces up to three years in prison.
