The artillerymen delivered to the soldiers a message from the Minister of National Defence Antoni Macierewicz, in which the head of the Ministry of National Defence emphasises, among other things, that the legacy of the Cursed Soldiers is one of the “cornerstones in building the identity of the contemporary Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and the ethos of service”.
The soldiers visited were very pleasantly surprised by the visit of the delegation in uniform. These brief meetings naturally included recollections of those times and looking through photographs.
During the visits, the soldiers’ living, financial and health situations were also reviewed, and information necessary for maintaining contact was collected.
