On Thursday, the “Bałwankowo” performance was presented in the auditorium of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. The leading roles were played by four- and five-year-olds from the Akademia Malucha operating at the MDK. The performance was prepared by Renata Dorosz. “Bałwankowo” is a fairy tale about a snowman named Stefanek.
The snowman was sad because he did not have a grandmother. He therefore searched for a grandmother and asked a kitten, a great tit and a little hare for help. Unfortunately, none of the animals he encountered helped him. Other snowmen came to Stefanek’s aid. They called a winter fairy for help, and she conjured up a grandmother for the snowman.
The “Bałwankowo” performance was originally supposed to be presented several weeks earlier, on the occasion of Grandmother’s Day and Grandfather’s Day. The children’s flu prevented the play from being staged on schedule. The children who performed on Thursday attend classes at the Akademia Malucha operating at the MDK. In addition to theatre classes, the academy also offers, among other things, rhythmics and painting classes.
