A reader sent photos to the editorial email, drawing attention to potholes on the road from Ocice to Gościszów. According to the reader, the potholes are deep enough to cause not only damage to a car's suspension, but also an accident.
We discussed the pothole-riddled road with Roman Palczewski, Head of the Bolesławiec District Roads Authority Roman Palczewski, who admitted that he knows the road is in a terrible condition. For now, warning signs have been installed on the road, and the speed limit has been reduced to 50 km/h.
The Gościszów–Ocice road runs through two municipalities: Nowogrodziec and Bolesławiec (a rural municipality). On the Bolesławiec side, the potholes should be repaired by March 25. Transit roads and roads with heavier traffic have priority for repairs. Meanwhile, a tender for repairing the section on the Nowogrodziec side will be announced on March 4. A contractor should be present on this section by the end of March, and the section will be repaired.
