On February 24, we wrote that representatives of the Urban Municipality thanked longtime PUP director Ewa Hryciów, who is retiring, for her work. The following day—during a session of the Bolesławiec County Council—county officials did the same (including Deputy Starost Marian Haniszewski, County Council Chairman Karol Stasik, full-time Executive Board member Stanisław Chwojnicki, and county councillors), as did Warta Bolesławiecka Commune Head Mirosław Haniszewski, Warta Commune Council Chairman Adam Maksymczyk, and directors of county educational institutions.
Together, they sang “Sto lat” in honour of the director. Moved, Ewa Hryciów said:
I certainly won’t shut myself away at home; I’ll definitely get involved in some activities. And if help is needed—I’m willing and ready.
