We invite the residents of Bolesławiec to participate in the observances, whose aim is to commemorate the Cursed Soldiers who, from 1944 to 1963, fought alone for a Poland free from Soviet occupation.

Observance program

  • 12:00 “Commando – for the Cursed Soldiers 1963” – a run for students from schools with a military profile /grounds of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec
  • 16:00 Holy Mass for the Cursed Soldiers /Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Zamkowy Square, Bolesławiec
  • 17:00 Roll call beneath the Anchor of Fighting Poland, with the participation of the Honor Guard Company of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment /defensive walls, Kubika Street, Bolesławiec
  • 17:45 Concert in Memory of the Cursed Soldiers performed by scouts from the Scout Music Club, followed by Krzysztof Rajczakowski’s lecture “Profiles of Bolesławiec’s Cursed Soldiers” /Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre, 17 Chopina Street, Bolesławiec

Organizers: Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, the ZHP Scout District named after the Gray Ranks in Bolesławiec, the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, the Field Organization of NSZZ Solidarność in Bolesławiec County, and 62 KS Commando. The honorary patronage of the event was assumed by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
