Officers from the Police Station in Warta Bolesławiecka, as a result of operational activities, identified and arrested the perpetrator of 11 burglaries of single-family homes and outbuildings. The suspect turned out to be... a 15-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality, who committed all the offenses near his place of residence.
The thief mainly stole power tools. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 5,000. The minor confessed to the acts of which he was accused.
A fence was also arrested by the police; he had been cooperating with the underage burglar. After searching the premises occupied by the 29-year-old resident of Złotoryja County, officers found a significant portion of the stolen property.
The family court will decide the further fate of the 15-year-old, while the 29-year-old faces up to five years in prison.
