Due to current demographic conditions, social development policy and the actual need to establish additional kindergarten classes in Zebrzydowa, the local authorities determined that there were grounds for the facility to continue operating.
On 12 November 2014, in Nowogrodziec, an agreement concerning the reconstruction of the Primary School building in Zebrzydowa – Stage I was signed between the Nowogrodziec gmina, represented by Mayor Robert Relich, and Usługi Ogólnobudowlane „Żuraw”, based in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, represented by Mieczysław Żuraw.
The following works were completed as part of the first stage of the investment: reconstruction of the building entrance, including the installation of a ramp for people with disabilities; demolition and masonry works; replacement of window joinery and metalwork elements; roof repair; façade insulation; modernization of the coal-fired boiler room, including replacement of the central heating system; completion of internal plasterwork; painting and other works.
The second and final stage of the investment is currently under way and will be completed in the first quarter of 2016. As part of the second stage, new plasterwork, floors and doors will be installed, along with new rooms for learning and play, as well as sanitary and utility rooms. The area around the school will also be developed.
Robert Relich is supervising the progress of the investment: “I think both parents and children will be satisfied. The kindergarten will be colorful, modern and well equipped.” The reconstructed school will meet all standards required by law.

This is another important investment improving the condition of the educational infrastructure. The aim of the project is to meet the expectations of and assist families and parents who take up professional work. It is also positive news for employers in a competitive labor market.
