Following the first organisational meeting in September in Ancona, Italy, „Elektronik” had the honour of hosting the project partners this time. Thirteen guests from Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary and Italy visited the school.
– The main aim of our project, entitled “MINT – Kits for Kids”, is to spark students’ interest in technology from the earliest grades, especially among girls – say teachers from ZSE.
During the mobilities, the teams will work on designing and building a multimedia device encouraging the youngest children to use it for play and learning. The project logo will be designed, and multimedia presentations documenting its progress will be created. The Polish team will write software for recognising shapes, such as geometric figures.
During the meetings, the teachers and students participating in the project will have the opportunity to learn about vocational education systems in other European countries and improve their ability to use English, the language of the project.
Cultural activities will also feature. During their visit to Bolesławiec, the project partners learned about the most important landmarks of our town, visited ceramic factories and Grodziec Castle. Naturally, they also had the opportunity to taste Polish dishes.
– During the meeting at the school, we presented our excellently equipped specialist laboratories – says Izabela Zdunek-Głowacka, the project coordinator. – We also introduced our partners to the educational offer of the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych.
Second- and third-year students of ZSE in Bolesławiec, who are involved in the project work, also took part in the meeting. They also helped organise it by preparing materials and refreshments. The ceremony was enhanced by a performance from first-year student Hanna Druzgała.
The project coordinators are teachers Izabela Zdunek-Głowacka and Marcin Woźniak.
