The morning activities called “Winter Holidays at MDK” have begun. From Monday to Friday, always from 10 a.m. to noon, their young participants have fun and learn, and at noon they sit down for another hour in front of the big cinema screen for a film morning.
Adults are also invited to our cinema. This week we are showing the film directed by Thomas Cailey, “Love at First Bite”. The film tells the story of well-mannered Arnaud, who spends a lazy holiday with his family and friends. The peace will end when he meets Madeleine. The girl is his complete opposite. Infatuated with her, the boy is ready to follow her anywhere. Even to the military-service preparation training Madeleine has been dreaming of… Make love like war. A witty look at the age-old question: can two different worlds be built into one shared world? The lights go out at 6:01 p.m. through Wednesday inclusive. Tickets cost PLN 11. In fact, our film projectors hardly stop turning this week… On Tuesday, for example, we are showing a special screening for children from the community centre in Pieńsk.
On Tuesday, enthusiasts of cross-border exchange of ideas will also meet at our venue once again. You can come, talk with neighbours from Görlitz, hear what is interesting and share something yourself. The Tandem Group meets at 6 p.m.
Drama workshops for somewhat older young people are also taking place throughout this week. The classes are free and are held from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon. The workshops are led by Beata Zygmuntowicz.
And if you happen to be in Wrocław this week, we warmly encourage you to visit the Educational Cultural Centre at 20 Kołłątaja Street, where from 1 February you can see an exhibition of artworks by our talented participants in the art classes at the Under the Dome studio. The exhibition is titled “Old Age”, and you remember very well that it could also be seen earlier in Zgorzelec. Well, if anyone did not make it in time… :)
