Drunk 31-year-old smashed two windows in his neighbour’s car. With a wooden table leg

District officers from Police Station I in Jelenia Góra arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of causing property damage. The incident occurred on 29 January this year at around 11:30 p.m. on one of the city’s streets. The 31-year-old smashed two windows in his neighbour’s car with a wooden table leg. The victim estimated the losses at PLN 5,000.

The vandal was arrested while trying to leave the scene. He was taken to police custody.

The Jelenia Góra resident admitted committing the offence and explained his behaviour by saying he had consumed too much alcohol (the test showed nearly 2 per mille) and that he was in conflict with and angry at his neighbour.

He could now face up to five years in prison for causing property damage.
