All this came to light several years ago, when residents of Lipiany near Bolesławiec wanted to build a funeral home at the cemetery. It then turned out that, most likely because of an error on the surveying map, the cemetery had “passed” into private hands, which is, moreover, illegal.
The Bolesławiec municipality authorities nevertheless reached an agreement with the landowners—they will transfer another plot of land to them. We will return to this topic.
