Participants in the opening of the “Space of Geometry” exhibition admired works by 23 students and graduates of the Ceramics Studio at the Faculty of Sculpture. The exhibition can be viewed at the “mała Biała” gallery until February 29, 2016.
The opening of the “Space of Geometry” exhibition began at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room, where a documentary about firing ceramics in a wood-fired kiln was shown. This kiln has been located at the Warsaw art academy for more than 70 years.
Among the guests attending the opening were, among others: Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz, City Spokesperson Agnieszka Gergont, and artist Krystyna Gay – Kutschenreiter. Dr. hab. Stanisław Brach, who has led the Warsaw ceramics studio for six years, also honored us with his presence. In his remarks, he introduced those gathered to the history of the studio. Later in the evening, the event participants went to the “mała Biała” gallery to view the exhibition, which was accompanied by the publication of a catalogue.
