The anniversary provided an opportunity to sum up achievements to date and completed activities, as well as to set directions for future work. The event was held under the Honorary Patronage of Mayor of the City Piotr Roman.
Guests invited to the ceremony thanked the Association’s Members for their commitment to the local community and wished them further anniversaries and perseverance in pursuing their goals.
During the gala, Association President Halina Waniak thanked institutions, companies and individuals supporting their activities. The guests included Member of the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Tadeusz Samborski; representatives of the authorities of the City of Bolesławiec: Mayor Piotr Roman, his deputy Kornel Filipowicz and Council Chairman Jarek Kowalski; Deputy Starost of Bolesławiec Marian Haniszewski; representatives of municipalities, including Deputy Head of Bolesławiec Municipality Roman Jaworski and Secretary of Nowogrodziec Municipality Dariusz Jancelewicz; directors of municipal institutions; and many friends.
The Association has been involved since the beginning of its activities in restoring the memory of Polish settlers in the territory of present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. It actively participates in international cooperation and helps organise the South Slavic Culture Festival; since 2014, it has been a co-organiser of the event. Although the Association has operated for “only” five years, it has already achieved a great deal for the local community. These achievements were recalled in a film summarising its activities to date, prepared by Bolesławiec-based Azart-Sat Television.
The Association’s Choir, conducted by Józef Herbut, performed during the gala. The ceremony was also enhanced by performances by children from the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble, while the Municipal Brass Band “Bolesławiec” provided the musical welcome.

Simply enter KRS number 0000376247 on the PIT form. The Association will use the funds received to carry out its statutory tasks, including preserving from oblivion the places from which Association members returned to Poland and caring for graves left in cemeteries in present-day Bosnia.
