Although the institution no longer resembles the one from 70 years ago, and students now use computers, interactive whiteboards, e-textbooks, a playground and multifunctional sports fields, not everything at the school has changed.

“We can say that the 21st century has firmly settled within our walls,” said Krystyna Myszkun, Director of the School and Preschool Complex in Kraśnik Dolny. “However, today’s anniversary reminds us that the student is the most important, teachers are the soul of the school, parents are its support, and graduates are its pride.”

Andrzej Dutkowski, Head of Bolesławiec Municipality, also recalled the changes that had taken place at the school. To mark the anniversary, he funded equipment for a new multimedia room. This is another improvement that will help teachers and students and make their everyday work more pleasant.

Joanna Berdzik, a former teacher and Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Education, also spoke. This was followed by an artistic programme led by students Magdalena Kubuś and Kacper Stec. The event was interspersed with excerpts from the school chronicle read by its chronicler, as well as performances by preschoolers and students. The latter in particular generated enormous admiration and moved those gathered, including a sizeable group of graduates and former employees of the institution.

An extraordinary moment came when Bronisława Kosakowska-Rupa presented a commemorative photograph from the end of the school year, taken in 1947. The gala was also an opportunity to announce the results of several competitions. In the municipal art competition “Logo of the School and Preschool Complex in Kraśnik Dolny,” Łukasz and Bogusława Decyk won, and their design was adopted as the official logo. In the municipal art competition “My School in 100 Years,” the awards went to: Kacper Warmus—Primary School in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka (first place), Natalia Mazur—School and Preschool Complex in Kraśnik Dolny (second place), and Justyna Konefał—School and Preschool Complex in Kraśnik Dolny (third place). Honorable mentions went to Oliwia Śliwkiewicz, Łukasz Biernacki and Kacper Pawlak, all students of the School and Preschool Complex in Trzebień. The “Memories from the School Desk” competition was also decided, with the following results: first place—Amelia Koziarska, second place—Eryk Jadczyk, third place—Mateusz Parzygnat; honorable mentions: Oliwia Greniuk, Małgorzata Paszko and Jakub Wieczorek. Franciszek Bartoch won the adult category.

It is worth noting that the January gala was not the only anniversary event. The celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny began with a ceremonial assembly on the occasion of National Education Day. Another particularly pleasant part of the school’s anniversary celebrations was a visit from Maria Orawiec, a retired mathematics teacher, who came on November 19 to meet with students from grades 4–6. The anniversary meeting of students and teachers with the school’s first graduates, held on December 3 in the sixth-grade classroom, was also filled with emotion and memories. Although not all invited guests were able to attend, they were ably represented by Bronisława Rupa, Stanisława Puź, Aniela Ziembikiewicz, Edward Danielewski, Halina Jędzierowska, Michał Rajfur, Helena Mądralska, Maria Rajfur, Czesław Rajfur, Stefania Gasek, Maria Herbut, Czesława Świtalska, Wanda Stodoła and Michalina Grabowska. Kazimierz Grabowski, who worked at the school as a teacher, also attended the meeting.
