On January 23, officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police were conducting operations in Bogatynia. During them, they stopped a passenger-car driver for inspection. It turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of Bogatynia.
The driver's behavior aroused the police officers' suspicions. A test conducted with a drug tester confirmed the officers' assumptions—the man had been driving under the influence of narcotic substances. What is more, several portions of amphetamine and marijuana were found on the Bogatynia resident.
The 22-year-old now faces up to 3 years in prison.
