The wafer meeting, organized among others by the Wspólna Radość and TPD associations and the Civic, Social Affairs and Health Department of the Bolesławiec County Office, took place on Saturday, January 23, in the hall of the I General Secondary School. More than 800 people from our county took part (people with disabilities, their families and friends).
The first to speak was Deputy County Head Marian Haniszewski, who appealed for integration and mutual support in difficult times. A Mass was then held, concelebrated among others by Marek Mendyk, bishop of the Diocese of Legnica.
As every year, volunteers also helped organize the event. The ceremony was enhanced by performances from the Bolesławiec Municipal Brass Band, the Cantate Deo choir conducted by Aleksander Samostrokow, the “Mały Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble (whose members are under the care of Anna Idkowiak), and children from the special school.
