The detainees, aged between 24 and 28, were placed in police custody. They face up to five years in prison. The losses were estimated at nearly PLN 3,000.
A fifth man involved in the theft was taken to a hospital in Legnica after falling from the roof when a ceiling beam broke beneath him. The others transported their unconscious accomplice to Legnica in the trunk of a car and called an ambulance.
They tried to convince the police that he had fallen from the roof while installing a television antenna.
The man, who suffered serious bodily injuries, is in hospital.
