During the night from Saturday to Sunday, police received information that a group of people was pumping fuel out of a truck in Zebrzydowa. When they saw the police car, two men loitering near the truck fled toward the forest, while three other people got into a Ford Mondeo and drove away in a hurry.
Two men, aged 33 and 21, and a 27-year-old woman who had driven away in the passenger car were stopped several kilometres away in a restaurant parking lot. Several hours later, two more people were arrested. The arrested individuals admitted to stealing the fuel. A total of 80 litres of diesel fuel worth PLN 270 was stolen from the Mercedes truck.
Two of the individuals were sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment, suspended for two years. The remaining three, because this was another offence they had committed, will face trial.
