Two men, aged 25 and 26, suspected of burglary at one of Jelenia Góra’s grocery discount stores, were arrested by officers from Police Station II in Jelenia Góra.
The incident occurred in the early morning of 17 December. The men from Jelenia Góra broke into one of the grocery discount stores. They intended to steal food and hygiene products worth nearly PLN 2,000. They had already managed to carry out and hide some of the property, while preparing the rest to be taken.
The break-in triggered an alarm, which alarmed police officers driving past. They decided to check why it had been activated.
The thieves ran away when they saw the police car. The officers pursued them and arrested them moments later. One of them hid... under a bin. It turned out that the men had broken into the grocery discount store shortly beforehand.
Both suspects were taken into police custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
