Officers from Karpacz arrested a 20-year-old resident of Podgórzyn gmina, suspected of burglary and theft. According to investigators, the man has committed seven property-related crimes. These mainly involved break-ins at garden sheds in Karpacz and theft.
The incidents occurred in November this year. The perpetrator mainly stole gardening tools, cables, power tools and other items, which he then sold either at scrap-metal collection points or to other people. In addition, the 20-year-old stole thirteen beer kegs worth nearly PLN 4,500 from one of the campsites.
Police officers are identifying further victims and determining the losses they suffered. The 20-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison.
