The regular season in the Third League of sport bridge has ended. The final matchday was held last weekend in Brzeg, where all the teams played their last five matches. Prnjavor Bolesławiec performed excellently, not only retaining the lead but also extending its advantage over its rivals.
The first day of the matchday was particularly successful for the Bolesławiec team. All three Saturday matches ended in victories for our team. We defeated, in succession: AZS Politechnika Wrocław VII 17:13, AZS Politechnika Wrocław IX 21:9, and Korpus Wrocław 24:6. On Sunday, the Bolesławiec team defeated Hutmen Wrocław 16:14 and narrowly lost to AZS RAG Wrocław 13:17.
Our team collected a total of 91 match points and increased its lead over TURBO Wrocław, the second-placed team in the standings, to 18 VP. Prnjavor played with the following lineup: Jarosław Molenda (captain), Jerzy Olenderek, Jacek Rutowicz, Antoni Ochot, Artur Winkler, and Andrzej Kaźmierczak.
In the next stage of the competition, the six best teams from the regular season will compete for promotion to the Second League, with their results so far carried over. The teams advancing to the final stage are: Prnjavor Bolesławiec, Turbo Wrocław, Zdrowie Kudowa, BKB ODK Jelenia Góra, Piast Lubań, and Gwardia Wrocław.
The team that finishes in first place will earn direct promotion, while the second-placed team will have the opportunity to fight for promotion in a playoff match. Our second team, Pogrom Bolesławiec, finished the competition in ninth place (out of 16 teams) and will compete in the next stage for places 7–16.
