On Friday, the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Center hosted a St Nicholas Concert performed by participants in BOK-MCC workshops. The young vocalists performed a dozen or so songs on a variety of subjects. The songs were performed both solo and by groups. The children from the “Błękitne Nutki” group of the Song Studio, led by Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy, opened and closed the concert. Young soloists from the Vocal Workshop led by Barbara Lendzian also performed. The audience rewarded the talented singers with thunderous applause.
At Saturday’s art workshop, “In the Splendor of Christmas,” led by BOK-MCC instructors, participants made decorative gel candles and original Christmas centerpieces. The workshop participants took their finished works home. They will surely become a unique decoration for the Christmas table.
On Sunday, a meeting with St Nicholas and Snowflake provided the youngest visitors with unforgettable experiences in the BOK-MCC lobby. Our little guests eagerly took part in an art happening during which colorful artworks were created and given to our special guest.
Nearly 1,500 viewers attended the St Nicholas Day screenings at Kino Forum. During selected screenings of the pre-premiere film “Belle and Sebastian 2,” movie gadgets donated by distributor Monolith Films were raffled off. Sweet treats were also waiting for the viewers.
The cinema lobby featured 45 Nativity scenes entered in a competition held under the patronage of the Mayor of the City. The competition results will be announced during Bolesławiec’s Star of Kindness event on December 17 at 5:00 p.m. in the Market Square.
