The duty officer of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police received information from the man’s family that they had no contact with him and did not know where he was staying. They also had no information about his state of health. The man had left his identity card with his family and had not told his relatives where he would be staying.
The officers managed to establish that the person might be staying in one of the abandoned buildings on Mickiewicza Street. Their findings were confirmed. However, the man stated that he did not need any help.
Volunteers from the Saint Brother Albert Aid Society were informed about the situation. The volunteers conducted a community interview and informed the man about the forms of assistance he could access.
