For several days, members of the youth organization worked with great dedication to raise funds so they could prepare St Nicholas Day gift packages and hand them to the children from the children’s home on 6 December.
“For a short time, we searched for sponsors for our campaign,” says Julia Lisiecka, a PiS activist. “We encountered great kindness, very pleasant cooperation, sensitivity and a willingness to help. The residents of Bolesławiec showed great heart. Many of them actively joined the campaign, for which we sincerely thank them. The main aim of our campaign was to give gifts to the children and bring them joy and pleasure. Smiles appeared on the children’s faces. In our view, the campaign was very much needed. The facility’s residents were happy and could not wait to eat the sweets. 6 December is a special day; anyone can become St Nicholas by bringing someone joy and giving them presents, while having a good time themselves,” adds Julia Lisiecka.
