The performance by the BOK-MCC theatre group premiered at the end of June this year and was very well received by the Bolesławiec audience. “Serenade” is based on a play by Sławomir Mrożek. It is an apparently banal story about longing for a better world, curiosity about the unknown and the desire to touch the forbidden fruit. It is a story about two radically different male worlds and three radically different female worlds, about the very human confusion of good and evil, about the desire for love, jealousy and seduction.
The cast comprised Lila Wasiel, Jolanta Koźmin, Łucja Mielczarek, Marek Pietraszkiewicz and Daniel Popieliński. The set design was prepared by Waldemar Cieślak, the musical arrangement by Paweł Gnyszka, lighting by Leszek Rzepka and prompting by Edyta Sczesna. Adaptation and direction: Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz.
