Before her concert with the Walk Away band, Urszula Dudziak promoted her autobiographical book “I’ll Sing You Everything” and, together with the meeting’s host, Krystian Nehrebecki, entertained the guests with brilliant stories from the artist’s life.
– I’m 72, I’ve just got engaged – here Urszula Dudziak showed everyone her engagement ring – and I’m only just getting started, because the heart never grows old. Today I’m presenting my book to you. It’s a kind of kaleidoscope of photographs from my life. Perhaps I’ll write more volumes: I’ll Sing You Everything Two and Three, like the installments of the film Jaws Two, Three and Four – the artist joked.
The author of the hit song Papaya told how she saw Filipino soldiers dancing to her song on YouTube.
– Apart from the fact that in the Philippines they thought I was singing this song in Polish – Urszula said – when they threw down their rifles and started dancing, I also thought that perhaps, thanks to my Papaya, the wars would end, like a naive child – the artist added.
The book “I’ll Sing You Everything,” written in beautiful language and full of wonderful stories from the author’s rich life, proved hugely popular. Proud of her publication, Urszula Dudziak said that recently her books have been selling better than her records.
– I maintain a balance between melody and words, I sing various sounds on stage and write stories. For me, a word is like a pebble tied to a music bird; through electronics I escaped words, and since I like to talk, I write as if I were telling a story – Urszula Dudziak said.
