Young FBI agent Kate Macer (played by Emily Blunt – pictured) joins a top-secret CIA operation aimed at apprehending the leader of a major Mexican drug cartel.
Macer gradually learns the details of an operation that often skirts the boundaries of law and morality, leading into the deepest recesses of criminal hell. Guiding Macer through its successive circles will be a mysterious CIA operative of Mexican origin, known as the “consultant,” who, as it turns out, is of crucial importance to the entire operation.
