The Bolesławiec team began the match in the following lineup: Induła, Pierzchalski, Chmielowski, Mosiądz, Kozłowski, Świerzewski and libero Potocki. At the start of the first set, TOP built a lead of 2–3 points. Later, the teams battled point for point. Toward the end of the set, TOP had set point. Unfortunately, after what appeared to be a winning point, the referee decided that the last player to touch the ball at the block was a TOP player. The referee’s decision upset the Bolesławiec volleyball players.

The beginning of the second set also belonged to the Bolesławiec team. Despite their frustration, TOP’s players once again built a lead of 2–3 points. Unfortunately, as time passed, the Bystrzyca players began to gain the advantage, and the score was 13:13. During the second set, Mosiądz lightly scraped his knee and a doctor had to come onto the court, but this did not prevent our player from attacking effectively. The set ended 25:23 to Bystrzyca Oławska.

In the third set, our volleyball coach made a change. Mateusz Kolator came onto the court in place of Krzysztof Mosiądz. The set began very well for TOP. In the first part, the Bolesławiec players “caught fire,” and the block formed by Induła and Kozłowski was practically humiliating the opposing players. The lead grew increasingly larger. From 18:12, TOP did not relinquish the lead and won the set 25:18.

Marcinkiewicz also appeared on the court in the third set to strengthen the block, as did Biczak in reception. Dariusz Pierzchalski was by far our team’s best attacker; thanks to Induła’s excellent setting, he finished almost every ball. Libero Potocki was nearly flawless in defense. He was always well positioned and saved many balls following the opponents’ attacks. The middle blockers Kozłowski and Świerzewski coped excellently with overcoming the opponents’ well-positioned block.

The fourth set began with the lineup from the previous set, but it was no longer as easy as the third. The teams played point for point. At times TOP had the advantage, and at times Bystrzyca did. Chmielowski attacked over the block several times, while Kolator made two impressive defensive plays. Unfortunately, the referee also influenced the outcome of this part of the match by making decisions in favor of the opponents. After the match, coach Mienculewicz thanked the players for their fight and pointed out their individual mistakes. He also added that the referee had undoubtedly contributed to the result of the match. TOP Bolesławiec lost to Bystrzyca Oławska 1:3.
