The German exhibition “In Great Poverty. Remembering the End of the War in 1945 and New Beginnings in Görlitz and Zgorzelec,” which has been open to visitors since Saturday, 21 November, is another event in the historical series organized by the Silesian Museum, intended to bring us closer to the postwar history of the two towns on the Neisse.
Like the exhibition “70 Years of Zgorzelec. A Retrospective View,” the German exhibition was created thanks to the involvement of many private individuals, associations and institutions. It consists of memorabilia, everyday objects, photographs, documents and personal accounts from the end of the Second World War and the postwar years.
The Silesian Museum warmly invites you!
The exhibition will be open to visitors from 21 November 2015 to 24 June 2016. Admission: €3. Children and young people under 16, as well as organized school groups, are admitted to the museum free of charge. All other visitors are admitted to the museum free of charge on the first Sunday of every month.
