Recently, there has been a real spate of accidents and collisions on the roads of our county. Our Reader informed us about this incident. In an email to the editorial office, they wrote:
[…] after 3 p.m. in Gościszów, a drunk young driver, travelling from Niwnice, crashed into a roadside shrine. A moment earlier, a few metres away, children returning from school had been getting off at the bus stop.The driver tried to flee, but tore off a wheel. Shortly afterwards, two police patrols arrived at the scene and dealt with the “hero”. No one was injured.
Police confirmed that the 26-year-old who caused the collision was drunk and had 2.6 per mille of alcohol in his system. He faces up to two years in prison.
