The quiet whir of the projectors at our PozaNova cinema, which fell silent for a while this week after Saturday’s meeting with director Lech Majewski, will be replaced by stage performances. All of them promise to be extremely interesting, although not all, as we feel obliged to note for the record, will be open to the general public. The theatrical madness begins on Tuesday. On that day, Teatr Króla from Łódź will perform three shows for students from Zgorzelec. The theatre’s performances address many areas of our everyday lives, and their characteristic feature is the strong emphasis on prevention aimed at children and young people. The audience will take their seats at 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
Also this Tuesday, we begin official preparations for the next finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity; the first staff meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m.
On Wednesday, we return to the theatre, again with a preventive focus. Again for young people, again before noon, and again with Teatr Króla. This time, the Municipal Public Library in Zgorzelec is organising two performances for middle-school students, at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., listeners of the Transborder University of the Third Age will hold their next meeting. The lecture scheduled for Wednesday will be delivered by Maria Wojtczak; its topic is “Staying Safe in and Around the Crib”, and, naturally, it will concern health.
On Thursday, don’t be surprised: there is theatre too. This time, Wrocław Musical Theatre will invite children to four performances—at 8:15 a.m., “Satan”; at 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., “Sleeping Beauty”; and at 12:15 p.m., “The Miser”.
On Friday afternoon, representatives of non-governmental organisations will spend the entire afternoon training at our venue.
And on Saturday... oops... theatre. This time, song theatre, because Marek Dyjak is inviting you to a concert. His poetic singing begins at 6:00 p.m.
We also invite you on Sunday. It will be partly theatrical, partly poetic, and certainly intimate and pleasant. We invite you to a communal poetry reading under the title “Poems for the Autumn Blues”. The first stanzas will be heard at 5:00 p.m.
We warmly encourage you to join us!
