– Among county towns in Lower Silesia, Bolesławiec ranks highest. The ranking concerns the effectiveness of obtaining European Union funds in 2004–2014, calculated per resident. PLN 3,087.16 means that an amount almost equal to the city’s annual budget was obtained – says Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
The ranking presenting the amount of EU funds obtained per resident over the entire 2004–2014 period was published on 31 October 2015 in the fortnightly magazine “Wspólnota”. The category of county towns included 267 localities. Bolesławiec is the first county town from Lower Silesia in the ranking; Trzebnica follows in 93rd place.
