This is very good news, as are the reports on the progress of renovation work at the Academy. Recently, the interior of the tower and the staircase leading to the Royal Hall were painted. Earlier, a decorative candelabrum was installed at the top of the stairs, and three chandeliers were hung in the hall vestibule. It is worth knowing that the tower, together with this representative hall, was built in the 1920s.

Work is also under way in the Academy's ground-floor riding hall (manege). A so-called floor grid is being laid, which will be covered with oak parquet. This Baroque building continues to reveal its secrets. After several layers of paint were removed, the original paintwork on the pilasters and the fireplace's crown was uncovered. Sandstone hidden beneath a layer of cement was also revealed. The designer is currently agreeing with the provincial conservator of monuments on a renovation programme specifically for the fireplace.
