The 97th anniversary was also commemorated in our county, with events organized by the local authorities of the county’s municipalities, including Zgorzelec, Pieńsk and Sulików. The celebrations were preceded by Masses offered for the homeland.
Following the services, representatives of the local authorities, uniformed services and clergy, together with the residents who attended, paid tribute and laid flowers at monuments commemorating this important event.
Additionally, Gmina Sulików concluded this year’s celebrations with a patriotic evening prepared by students of the Jan Paul II Primary School and Middle School Complex in Sulików.
