Mayor Piotr Roman has appointed his next deputy. In addition to Kazimiera Popławska, Wiesław Ogrodnik will also work with Roman. The current president of ZEC will take up the duties of deputy mayor after the New Year, on January 2.

"Am I happy? That is a difficult question. From a political perspective, it is a natural progression. Based on my experience at Polfa and ZEC, I think I will be able to handle the responsibilities and help the mayor. Certainly, after four years I will not compete with Piotr Roman. I will be loyal," Wiesław Ogrodnik assures Boleslawiec.org.

Wiesław Ogrodnik graduated from Wrocław University of Technology, completed a number of courses and training programs mainly related to quality assurance systems, and completed postgraduate studies at the Wrocław University of Economics. From 2003, he was president of the management board of the Thermal Energy Company in Bolesławiec. He has been a member of Law and Justice for six years.

It is worth adding that Piotr Roman first tried to appoint Janusz Kozioł, the current councillor from Ziemia Bolesławiecka, as deputy mayor. Janusz Kozioł declined.
