Officers from Police Station II in Jelenia Góra arrested a 33-year-old man suspected of burglary.
According to investigators, the incident occurred at the beginning of November this year in one of the apartments in Jelenia Góra. The suspect took advantage of an opportunity and stole a bank card that his brother-in-law had left in the apartment. The 33-year-old also found the PIN and withdrew a total of PLN 700 from his relative’s account.
When the victim realized that money had disappeared from his account, he notified the police about the crime.
The 33-year-old was arrested. He confessed to the crime and returned the stolen card. He may now face up to 10 years in prison.
