The pumps, guides, pipes and chains were replaced, among other components, as were the hatches above the pumps. New control systems and cranes with manual hoists were also installed. “The renovation was necessary because of corrosion and the progressing wear of the fittings and pumps. The use of new pumps will result in savings on repairs and energy consumption, as well as improved operational reliability,” says Rafał Jarosz, head of the Operations and Services Department of ZGKiM in Rudna.

The second stage of the modernization will cover pumping stations in Kliszów, Chełm and Nieszczyce Chałupki. Rudna municipality will allocate up to PLN 640,000 for all the work by the end of the year.
