Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra arrested a 25-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra suspected of property-related crimes.
Officers established that the 25-year-old had committed at least three offences in Jelenia Góra between March and April this year. These were burglaries of basements.
The burglar stole bicycles, skis, a set of wheels for a passenger car, men's rollerblades, passenger-car tyres and even... toilet paper rolls and paper towels.
It turned out that the offender sold the stolen items at a minimal price. The victims' total losses amounted to approximately PLN 2,000.
The resident of Jelenia Góra admitted to the crime. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
