Ewa Uryga & New York Jazz Collective is an international jazz project featuring stars of the global music scene. Together with Ewa Uryga—recognized by “Jazz Forum” and “Twój Blues” as one of Poland’s finest jazz vocalists—the following performers will appear on one stage:

  • legendary pianist Mark Soskin – a professor at the renowned Manhatan School of Music who worked with Sonny Rollins for many years
  • Luques Curtis, one of the most highly regarded bassists of the younger generation and a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music
  • Dorota Piotrowska – a Polish jazz drummer who has successfully performed around the world with a host of jazz stars and whose achievements include a debut at Carnegie Hall.

The concert program will be devoted to the work of one of the greatest vocalists in the history of jazz music—Ella Fitzgerald. The audience will have the opportunity to hear standards from the album “Ballads for Ella,” recorded by Ewa Uryga and Mark Soskin in New York in 1999.
