I invite you to join the process of preparing the “Local Revitalisation Programme for the City of Legnica for 2015–2020” and to participate in strategic workshops organised on 5 and 6 November 2015 as part of the consultation process. The workshops will serve to diagnose the social, economic, environmental and spatial problems occurring in crisis areas and to develop a shared vision for the revitalisation of the city.
The diagnosis of the city’s urban units made it possible to determine the degree of differentiation in the socio-economic development of individual areas of Legnica and to identify crisis areas. The research findings clearly showed that, due to the high concentration of these phenomena, the “Zakaczawie” area should receive support in the 2014–2020 perspective.
During the workshops, we would like to assess together with you the problems affecting the local community, explore the specific nature of the phenomena occurring in “Zakaczawie”, and develop a shared vision of comprehensive revitalisation measures that will help stimulate economic and social activity and, above all, improve the quality of life of its residents.
The vision of revitalisation measures developed during the consultation meetings will provide the basis for preparing subsequent project proposals, which will be included in the Local Revitalisation Programme for the City of Legnica for 2015–2020.
The projects included in the Local Development Programme for the City of Legnica for 2015–2020 will form the basis for applying for public funds allocated to revitalisation purposes, in particular those from the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2014–2020 under Investment Priority 6.3, Revitalisation of degraded areas.
The meetings will be held on 5 and 6 November 2015 in the building of Primary School No. 1 at 20A Kamienna Street (gymnasium) in Legnica, divided between two areas of Zakaczawie.

THE “ZAKACZAWIE” AREA
For the purposes of conducting public consultations, the Zakaczawie area was divided along Kartuska Street and Czarnieckiego Street into two areas.
The following streets are included in “Area I”:
