Approximately 200 people took part in the meeting. The police officers spoke with the young people about potential dangers and how to act to avoid them.

The meeting was attended by a crime prevention specialist from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra, officers from the Social Communications Team, and a police officer from the Department for Combating Economic Crime.

At the beginning, the officers familiarized the students with the structure of the police and the recruitment process. The lectures, which lasted several dozen minutes, concerned safe road use and criminal liability for driving after consuming alcohol, while intoxicated, or after using intoxicating substances. In addition, the police officers informed them about the dangers resulting from talking on a mobile phone while driving. They also reminded them of the obligation to wear reflective elements during the evening and night outside built-up areas.

They also informed the students about the legal consequences of disturbing public order, consuming alcohol in public places, and possessing and dealing in intoxicating substances. They also pointed out the dangers in discos and pubs associated with the possibility of psychoactive substances being added to a drink, causing loss of consciousness.

The officers informed the students about online threats and how to act if they became victims of fraud. They also told the students about fraud and theft targeting elderly people and asked them to warn their loved ones about such situations.

The students also learned where and how to contact police officers from the unit responsible for the area in which the university is located. At the end of the meeting, everyone had the opportunity to speak with the officers and ask them questions.
